Terms of Use
General Information
The information published on this website is provided for general information and educational purposes only.
While every reasonable effort is made to ensure the information is accurate at the time of publication, we make no guarantee that all information is complete, current or free from error.
Information may be updated without notice.
Wildlife Information
Information provided about reptiles, wildlife, snake behaviour and identification is general in nature and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice or emergency assistance.
Native reptiles are protected wildlife in Queensland.
Never attempt to catch, handle, injure or kill a snake yourself.
Snake Identification
Where possible, we may assist with identifying snakes from photographs supplied by customers.
Identification is based on the quality of the image provided and the information available at the time.
Lighting, image quality, camera angle, colour variation and natural differences between individual snakes may affect identification.
Photographic identification should be treated as guidance only and should never be relied upon when deciding whether it is safe to approach or handle a snake.
If in doubt, always keep a safe distance and contact us directly.
Emergency Situations
If you or another person has been bitten by a snake, call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
Information published on this website does not replace emergency medical advice or emergency services.
If a pet is suspected of being bitten by a snake, seek immediate veterinary treatment.
Service Availability
Sue's Reptile Rescue & Relocations CQ operates a 24-hour service; however, attendance cannot be guaranteed.
Response times may vary depending on:
- Existing call-outs
- Travel distance
- Traffic conditions
- Weather conditions
- Road closures
- Personal availability
- Other unforeseen circumstances
Wildlife Behaviour
Wildlife is unpredictable.
Although every reasonable effort is made to locate and safely relocate reptiles, attendance at a property does not guarantee that a snake or reptile will be located or captured.
Snakes may move, hide or leave the area before arrival.
Snake Relocation
Our aim is to safely relocate reptiles away from the immediate conflict area in accordance with applicable permits and Queensland legislation.
Because wildlife is naturally mobile, we cannot guarantee that another snake will not enter your property in the future.
Factors such as food availability, shelter and surrounding habitat remain outside our control.
Property Access
By requesting our attendance, you authorise us to enter the areas of your property reasonably necessary to locate and safely relocate a reptile.
Reasonable care will always be taken while working on your property.
Fees
Service fees are based on the nature of the call-out and travel requirements.
Additional travel charges may apply for locations outside our standard service area.
Pricing may change without notice.
